





Bogard is providing comprehensive construction and program management services for the delivery Salinas Valley Health’s capital projects. Salinas Valley Health is a public entity providing healthcare and hospital services in Salinas and the surrounding area. The hospital, which occupies an existing 264,493-sf, six-story building and connected structures, is classified by California Healthcare Access and Information (HCAI) as a general acute care hospital licensed for 263 beds. In addition to the management of the hospital’s capital program, Bogard also manages capital projects for the Salinas Valley Health Clinics, a network of primary and specialty care clinics in Monterey County, California, offering services in cardiology, pulmonology, diagnostic imaging, urology and family medicine. Notable projects include the seismic renovation of the existing hospital for compliance with Structural Performance Category 4D and Non-Structural Performance 4/4D/5, a new 4 level parking garage addition including 250+ stalls and partial basement level housing administrative office functions, a new 20,000 gross square foot 44-bay Emergency Department as an expansion to the existing hospital and a full replacement of the current Emergency Department. The expansion comprises a warm shell basement, a first-floor Emergency Department, and two cold shell upper floors, second and third, intended for future patient room build-out. Upon decanting of the existing Emergency Department, renovation work will be carried out to optimize the configuration of the hospital's perioperative department. The project also includes a building expansion to accommodate a new MRI facility and renovation work for a new CT suite in the vicinity of the current imaging department.
