Bogard Construction completed the Lichen Oaks Ranch Riding Arena and Horse Stable in the rural hills of Felton for the Jean Kvamme Center for Adaptive Riding. The project features a 70′ × 160′ covered riding arena with a dedicated viewing area, as well as a ten-stall barn with wash, grooming, tack, and feed facilities designed to support adaptive and therapeutic riding programs.
The remote location of the site presented unique construction logistics and access challenges, requiring careful planning for material deliveries, grading, and utility coordination. In addition, close collaboration with the Central Fire Protection District was necessary to meet fire-safety requirements. This included the integration of a dedicated on-site water storage tank for fire suppression and ensuring compliance with all fire flow and access standards.
Through proactive coordination and detailed project management, Bogard Construction delivered a safe, functional, and welcoming facility that supports inclusive equestrian experiences and the mission of the Kvamme Center to foster connection, confidence, and community through horsemanship.
