Due to exposure and dryrot at the existing Dominican Oaks balconies, Dignity Health sough assistance from Bogard Construction to coordinate the design and replacement of the facility's balcony structures. The scope of work included the replacement of all existing finishes, trim, weather barriers, glass guardrails and decking, with new structural and finish elements, including aluminum guardrails, flashing, waterproofing and epoxy deck coating.
Bogard assisted in the design effort to determine the most cost effective solutions for repairs to the decks, as well as review of waterproofing details and constructability to ensure the longevity and structural integrity of the new decks.
