UP: To the legacy of Victor Bogard Sr., who died last week.
His Bogard Construction Co. has had a long commitment to
excellence — and to community service. The company’s
good work was touted last week by Long Marine Lab, beneficiary
of many public projects that Bogard Construction has managed
and built. The firm recently built both the Seymour Marine
Discovery Center and the Center for Ocean Health at Long
Marine Lab. A Long lab spokesman said the facilities will
provide scientists, the public and local school children
opportunities to learn about and protect the oceans far into
the future.
